As an overview, I'd like something similar to the opening of this video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJKTyMyMlw8 (not as detailed of course. So modest but animated), but still while keeping the design and layout of Upgraded Life Festival logo & themes (quantified self etc.). They are to be animated and assembled as seen on http://upgradedlifefestival.com and on dropbox > Poster > Upgraded_life_rollup.pdf

The length of videos based on audio clips to be used: 20sec for a video when speaker is changing. 84sec for an intro video that introduces conference themes. See attached files.

The script for the 20sec video: festival logo and themes assembling (quantified self (icon: magnifyer), biohacking (icon: test tube), health (icon: dna), wellness (icon: heart), internet of things (icon: network) and wearables (icon: watch)) (10 seconds), then text (10 seconds): "The next upgraded speaker is" with an animated background until the end. Fade in/out to white.

The script for 84 sec: festival logo and themes assembling (quantified self (icon: magnifyer), biohacking (icon: test tube), health (icon: dna), wellness (icon: heart), internet of things (icon: network) and wearables (icon: watch)), then the quote "How technology can help people live healthier, happier and perform better?" with an animated background, then flying speaker photos (see dropbox) or similar way to introduce speaker faces (no need for names) and the text "50+ upgraded speakers". Then transition to "Powered by" image (organized_by.jpg in companies & sponsors folder). Then "50+ upgraded companies" and animate companies.jpg (from the companies & sponsors folder on Dropbox). Then introducing the conference special themes (see dropbox for symbols): clinics unfolding (clinic.eps) and the text "Clinics for startups", matchmaking unfolding (matchmaking.eps) and the text "Matchmaking for attendees", mug unfolding (mug.eps) and the text "#PowerCoffee Battle", then transitioning to the ending unfolding the face (face.eps) with the quote: "To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one’s potential.” – Bruce Lee. Close out by bringing back the festival logo and themes. Fade in/out to white, then in the end fade in sponsors.jpg (from the companies & sponsors folder on Dropbox).

If you want to enter this contest, start by creating an example of the 20sec version, make sure we like it until moving on to working on the longer version.

I allow creative freedom as long as official font (Avenir with correct letter-spacing) and colors from the festival themes and logo are used and the animation resolves around assembling stuff out of triangles (e.g. in the conference themes). Synchronization with music and/or adding special sound effects for increased emotion is recommended.

Styles we like: flat design, 3D only for camera grip if needed, not for objects. Colors should be according to festival style and website, symbols. Font should have the right letter spacing uniformly. Triangles are the central theme: triangles can be used to assemble things out of thin air. Use them in a creative way and you may as well be the winner.

Video size: 720p (1280x720)
Delivery format: MOV or MP4, H.264 codec, preferably also a lossless version. Audio encoded in AAC, preferably a lossless version.
Separate videos for both 20sec and 84sec versions.
