Import Excel with Import Tool
Hello! My Name ist Paul and I have more than 25 years of experience in designing and developing MS Access applications especially for small and medium sized enterprises. Regarding this project I'd suggest to create a small import tool to convert the excel data in a relational database format and perhaps a small verification logic (extra costs depending of complexity). After that you can import the data into the production database. The advantage of this is that this procedure can be used serveral times if you intent to keep the Excel Spreadsheets as a data input form and the structure of the excel sheets are fixed! Before starting the project I'd like to know if there are some modifications in the Hello! I am trying to get away from using both Access and Excel. Bottom line what I am trying to accomplish is a way for an employee to enter hours for each month, but I don't want them to have to identify the each month on each record. The number of months (aka period of performance) will be identified each time they go in. I want to make sure they stay within that date range.
