​My name is John Voyce. I taught at university level from 1980 until my retirement in January this year. I taught a wide variety of subjects including Probability, Statistics, Sociology, Anthropology, Research Methods and English, and have published papers in English and Portuguese. I studied Sociology at polytechnic before the polytechnics became integrated into the university system. In Portugal, I studied Urban and Regional Planning for my master's degree while teaching English as a Foreign Language. In my retirement years I will be able to dedicate my time to freelance academic work.
