There are the high quality products manufactured by American and European brands, which forms the high-end segment of the market. There also are the lower quality products manufactured by the Far East brands, which forms the low-end segment of the market.\nThe manufacturers of the highly priced products usually make their products manufactured for them by the Far East factories. Yet their prices are high because they design the products themselves, which adds in the cost of extensive research and development. Also, they have their staff to control the manufacturing process in the Far East factories, which is another factor in increasing the fixed costs. The end product is reliable but high priced (Spender, 2014).\n
