We are using a printer that is connected via WAN. It has a unique IP address and communicates via UDP-packets. We don't know details, just have the protocol of the network traffic. We would like to have a windows software that provides the following functions: - it checks the status of the printer once every 30 seconds and changes his program icon (in the windows taskbar at the bottom) depending on the status of the printer - when the user clicks on the program icon in the taskbar, it requests a special status from the machine and copies the response of the machine (plain text, around 36k in size) to the clipboard so the user can paste it Please find protocols of the network attached. Hi, May I have the opportunity to work on this project. In your case please let me know that commands that you shared are tracked or referred extraction of some standard document? Here, What I think we have to first send some command where printer will respond with some format if it is available over the network or not. If found depending on that one rest of status obviously with some command to be worked out. Are you going to share the printer with me for development and any other reference or working software available with you. I think we need to start the discussion the discussion to start with.
