We have an older classic ASP website that we need someone to program a product page for. We have thousands of products, but the same programmed page should be able to generate the details for any product. The customer would press a link or the image on the catalog page and it would take them to the product page which would provide more details as found in the SQL database for the product. If would also show related products (also stored in the database) or if none found show other products in the category of the product. The page should be set up to match what is acceptable for Google Shopping. The website is written in Classic ASP. We are moving to a new website soon, but there have been too many delays so we have decided to do a little work on this website in order to improve the customer experience.

Hello, As you can see on my previous experience and profile I 've been mostly working for Classic ASP / SQL Server on this site and worked on this architecture for several years. While I moved to another languages/versions. I still mantain Classic ASP sites for my customers that didn't want or couldn't migrate yet. I wonder if you already have a CRUD intertface for products (create,update,delete) and products inside SQL Server, or you have nothing related and you need it too? I have worked in Classic ASP, can understand the pain points. Few questions, Do you have addtocart functionality in place or is that something required as well? There is lot of logic in cart, checkout etc to complete the flow so how about that? Quick chat?

Hello, Could you provide me an access to the current ASP code so I could do the update directly. But, if you feel it is safer if we do the duplicated version development instead of on original version, then could provide an online machine which supports classic ASP for the evaluation purpose. So, you could do the test before updating to the live server. It is a VPS machine with Windows 2012 OS which has classic ASP enabled. Let me know if you agree with this method. So I could prepare the machine. This would take not more than 3 days for overall required development
