I have a small movie production company, and I would like to have a site for that firm which promotes past projects and can accept submissions for new projects. The site should be something that I can easily update as well. The pages that I think I would like to have are listed below. My main goal is to market my movies and to make new filmmaking connections with an attractive website. 1) Films - I want it to have a section to describe the movies I have done as well as display either the trailer video or a YouTube link to it as well. 2) Order Page - A page by which they can order the movies directly from me and pay through PayPal - using the PayPal Payments Standard API. 3) Now Casting Page - describing current film projects and allowing actors/actresses to submit their information. At most there will only be one active project. This page will need to be able to customized to include the following: Title of Film Description Date(s) of Film Shooting Roles (Character Name, Description of character). Button to allow user to apply to one or more Role(s). If there is no film that is being currently casted, the user should still be able to go to the form and apply. The form should include the following (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, ability to upload Headshot file - image, and resume - document). On submission, this data will be sent to a predefined (but system configurable email address). 4) About us page In your bid proposal, please let me know which programming language (PHP or Java) and any frameworks that you plan on using. Hey there. A wordpress solution will do the job perfectly. The sales will be handled by woocommerce so that they can be easily tracked and managed. The application for roles will be a custom(little) plugin that just takes the info from the form and lists it in custom pages, that can only be seen by speciffic user accounts-the admin account for starters(but also if you want other people, say the director or producer or whatever to have access to those-just give them a non-admin account that has permissions for their project page). And the front page for trailers is not a problem of course-i think it would be best to use a plugin that plays them directly from youtube, vimeo etc-this way you dont need a streaming server, and the videos will play with best performance.
