Corporate Identity/ Company Logo

My video & digital media production company is spliting into smaller divisions each focusing on specific markets. We have decided to trial getafreelancer for the first installment of this much bigger project in the hope that we can find someone from outside the company that we are happy enough to carry on the relationship with throughout this rebranding and possibly beyond. This initial project is to design a logo and colour scheme for our new corporate communications division which deals with the production digtial media and high definition videos to promote businesses as well as producing videos of events and internal communications. The division is called InCube8 - a play on the word "incubate". The reason behind the name is that one of our biggest selling points are the ideas that we develop for our productions. Two of the tag lines we will be using are "Where ideas grow" and "Let your ideas InCube8" and we have purchased the domain [login to view URL] for the company website. We would like a clean corporate style design BUT with a bit of edge. Our initial thoughts were to take the name quite literally and envisaged the number 8 within a cube - we're looking for a designer who can show us something innovative within this concept. However we are open to other suggestions. Whilst what we do is very state of the art and modern we arent really looking for a "futuristic" style again unless we can be pursuaded otherwise. We also like the idea of a bold red, black and white colour scheme but again this is open to other ideas. [login to view URL] also need any fonts or the original PSD/PNG of any elements used within the logo to be supplied so we have full control of the logo. [login to view URL] to the nature and structure of our business the logo can only be credited to the designer and not to an external company-however should the designer wish an email account within the company could be arranged which would enable them to be notified should any enquiries come in for furture projects on the back of this work. [login to view URL] logo will need to be approved by the two heads of Incube8 with changes to be expected (unless we are blown away by the concept the designer comes up with) so any bid should include expected changes. This project would suit an experienced designer with a good understanding of company identity, branding, marketing and a portfolio to back this up. We may consider bids from designers without examples of logos in their portfolio but we would need to see a mock up before we would consider a bid.
