POSITION: Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer JOB SUMMARY • Write clean, maintainable and efficient code • Maintain and support website • Design robust, scalable and secure features • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle • Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards) • Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design REQUIREMENTS • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject • Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Ruby on Rails specifically • Proven working experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git • Experience with the cloud platform, Heroku PREFERRED SKILLS • Solid understanding of supporting production environments and best practices • Solid understanding of implementing architectural changes with an existing production environment • Experience with building API's, including authentication, cleanliness, and role-based access permissions • Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Sidekiq • Good understanding of MVC frameworks • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming • Familiarity with concepts of Mocking, ORM, and RESTful • Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application • Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes • Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests • Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bundler, Rake, etc. • Familiarity with continuous integration, Redis Website: [login to view URL] To Apply: send CV, work sample(s), and unofficial transcripts (if applicable) to: info@[login to view URL]
