I need help with some macros used in Word 2010 (and later on Word 2016) that is used for setting a specific tray to be used when printing certain documents. Please read the description before bidding. When bidding please state briefly your experience in this field.
We have two customized buttons on the Word ribbon.
Button “Brevpapir” and button “Alm. Papir”
“Brevpapir” is used for contracts and sets the first page to be printed from a specific drawer, and succeeding pages to be printer from a different drawer.
“Alm. Papir” just sets the document to be printed on default paper.
Since we changed printers some time ago this functionality broke. The new printer has more trays and probably uses another designation for them. The macro uses terms like “wdPrinterUpperBin” and “WdPrinterMiddleBin”. These probably won’t work when the number of trays are as described below.
What I need is someone with Visual Basic and Office / Printer skills who can fix it.
Tray 1 contains the paper used for “wdPrinterUpperBin” and Tray 2 the “wdPrinterMiddleBin” type of paper.
New printer trays and tray ID:
Auto: 7
Manuel: 4
Tray 1: 257
Tray 2: 258
Tray 3: 259
Tray 4: 260
LCT: 1000
Current non-working macro
Sub Brevpapir()
With [login to view URL]
.FirstPageTray = wdPrinterUpperBin
.OtherPagesTray = wdPrinterMiddleBin
End With
End Sub
