TypeScript Developer with Node.JS, MongoDB, Ionic

Gritsa Technologies is actively seeking a Senior Developer cum Technical Lead for one of its important client projects. Please note that 70% of the work is in the back-end, hence we are looking for someone who is a Pro in TypeScript with Node.JS and MongoDB with experience in AWS deployment.

About the Project

• An Ionic mobile application primarily focused on listing and sale of digital e-magazines

• Allows user to browse, select, purchase and read on these e-magazines using integrated viewer

• Available for both Apple Store and Google Play

• Payments are taken care by Stripe/Google Pay/Apple In app purchases

• Scripting language: TypeScript

• Front-end tool: Ionic 5.5/Angular

• Back-end tool: NodeJS, ExpressJS

• Database: MongoDB, Amazon S3

• Current state of the app: Coded and live, needs maintenance and enhancements

Roles & Responsibilities

• As a Full-stack Developer, you will be taking ownership of the whole application from development, documentation, bug fixing, supporting to maintaining the current application

• Documentation is a very important part of the project as it is one of the primary deliverables for the application

• You should be able to respond to technical queries/requests from team members

• Collaborate with experienced designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

• Front-end development using various Typescript libraries and micro frameworks (Ionic, React.JS, Bootstrap), HTML and CSS

• Integration with backend services using REST APIs

Required Skills

• 2 – 5 years of experience in full-cycle implementation of software development projects

• Experience in developing Web API and RESTful web services using NodeJS and ExpressJS

• Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular 4 and above

• Experience with client-side programming HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery and Typescript

• Programming skills on MongoDB and SQL Server with strong database design

• Good experience with design patterns, object-oriented design, and programming

• Must have good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent and proactive communication skills (very important)

Other Details

• Expected number of hours per day: 8 hours

• Communication channels – Google Meet for client calls and Microsoft Teams/Slack for internal calls. Slack for client communication and Microsoft Teams for internal chat

• Client calls - 1 per week on every Friday at 5:30 pm IST. However, there could be more calls other than the above scheduled calls as per need

• Other calls - Daily SCRUM calls with the team members in the morning and evening for updates. Ad-hoc calls with team members on the phone for the purpose of troubleshooting and any other guidance

• Expected availability on chat – online throughout the day and respond to client and team member queries in real-time

• Expected duration of the project – 6 months
