Wanted: Professional and Highly Experienced Translators for Newly Established Agency

Introduction/Opportunities: We represent a recently established translation agency that specifically tailors to companies and projects within the rapidly emerging cryptocurrency/crypto-asset sector. As part of phase one of its ongoing recruitment process, the agency is searching for professional and highly experienced translators to join its primary, secondary and tertiary translation teams. It is looking to fill the following positions for each team (all languages will be considered): Primary team: 15 long-term Head Translator positions The main responsibilities of a Head Translator will include: - Performing (technical) English-to-Native-Language translations on a regular basis - Delegating translation tasks between other language-specific team members - Reviewing/correcting translations performed by other team members on a semi-regular basis Secondary team: 15 long-term Secondary Translator positions The main responsibilities of a Secondary Translator will include: - Reviewing/correcting English-to-Native-Language translations on a semi-regular basis - Performing (technical) English-to-Native-Language translations on a semi-regular basis Tertiary team: 15 long-term Backup Translator positions The main responsibilities of a Backup Translator will include: - Occasionally reviewing/correcting English-to-Native-Language translations - Occasionally performing (technical) English-to-Native-Language translations Qualifications: For the Head Translator positions, the agency will only consider professional and/or officially qualified translators. For the Secondary and Backup Translator positions, applicants with any verifiable credentials will be heavily favored. Among applicants without any professional backgrounds or credentials, only those with extensive, verifiable experience will be considered. Past translation experience within the crypto space is an advantage for all positions. Requirements: These are the main requirements for the various positions: - Availability; A loose and flexible schedule is of great importance within the fast-paced crypto sector - Reliability; Although there is usually ample time to complete any given task, Head Translators must be able to meet tight deadlines (all of the agency’s delivery times are guaranteed, no exceptions will be made) - Dedication; As the agency’s goal is to become the gold standard of translation services within the crypto sector, all translations must be of exceptional quality Timeline: The agency expects to complete its onboarding process within three weeks. If all goes according to plan, it will offer its full range of services within six to eight weeks. Payment: For service providers within the crypto space, potential clients can be broadly divided into two groups; pre and post-ICO. The abbreviation ICO stands for Initial Coin Offering, i.e. the initial offering of cryptocurrency or crypto-asset units (commonly referred to as coins or tokens) to potential investors. To some extent, ICOs can be compared to traditional IPOs (Initial Public Offerings), i.e. the initial offering of shares to potential investors. The agency will pursue clients within both of these groups, with an emphasis on post-ICO projects, as post-ICO projects are relatively well-established and typically have a functioning product or service, making them more reliable and easier to evaluate. This greatly reduces the agency’s and translators' risk of being negatively affected by failed or fraudulent projects. Based on past, average earnings, here are the projected per-word translation rates: Pre-ICO: between $0.80 and $1.20 per word Post-ICO: between $0.50 and $1.00 per word Please note: Although these rates can be expected, they are never guaranteed.
