They use three forms in Guatemala due to influences from neighboring countries. Many can use all three of them in conversations depending on the audience. Guatemalan's can use Tu, Usd. or Vos. The most difficult to distinguish when to use is Vos & Tu. Vos is used commonly with friends of the same sex and/or same sex persons who are close in age to the subject. Tú is often used with the opposite sex and family members... but can often use the conjugation for vos. How Tu and Vos is interchanged depends on the upbringing and area.
