I require some marketing material to be written.
I am a database architect and performance specialist, and a business owner. Providing database consultancy is the key area of my business that generates the most interest, unfortunately the most popular way to get business for these services has been to use my CV, which means whenever I got offered work, I have other staff back at the office with little or nothing to do.
As the successful marketing material involves me, my name, and my personal credentials where appropriate, the client expects me to do the work. The next problem is that as they expect me to do the work, they also see me as an individual and not as a business. As can be expected, even if the cover letter is on headed paper.
The businesses that can afford my expertise also have preferred supplier agreements with other consultancies so as long as I perceived as an indivudual, they feel they would be in breach of contract to make use of our services directly.
The end result here is ultimately to generate a new brand for the business, based on the Database Architecture and Performance skills, and to produce a set of material that presents a good image that will allow potential clients to feel the benefit of using the services.
On acceptance of the project, I will provide a variety of information including:
1) Info already prepared and used in the past.
2) Current letterhead, business cards etc
3) My CV, and a Personal Portfolio written
4) Details of our corporate website
5) Other information that you feel you need to complete the project.
I do claim to be a specialist in my field, but not in anyway claim to be an expert in marketing, and I hope I have included enough information here for you to understand what is required.
Kind Regards,
Robert
