I know nothing about apple / MAC. However because I wanted to windows on Parallels, I purchased a Xserve and Parallels. So now something is wrong xserve. Amber LED is flashing, says to look at logs to determine what is wrong, I just don't understand what I'm looking for. I have remote access to the server with team viewer . I was wonder what cost for you the peek at server and tell me you you can fix it.
I would like to be able to help you. Apple Xserv is based on Unix and providing i can get the Terminal shell up and running I will be able to diagnose the issue from the command line. I will be upfront with you that these servers are old and if it is a hardware issue you will struggle to get parts for them. Your best bet is ebay. the log warning could be anything, it could even be a warning that the log files are full, or it could be a warning about a pending hardware failure.
Providing you have teamviewer on Xserve (OSX) I will be able to log in and take a look for you.
Hopefully you have the root or sudo root credentials. I will need access to the terminal. I can then examine the logs to see what the error is
