I have an MS Access database containing approx. 60 tables. I need this table to be converted to MS SQL. I can provide the freelancer the empty database (all tables will be empty) and I need the following: 1. the new database in MSSQL (tables, indexes, unique constraints; there are no foreign keys defined) This is preferably a set of create scripts which I will run in a newly created database. (I'm an IT person having some understanding of MSSQL, so I don't need any basic instruction how to run a script etc.) 2. An easy solution to move the data from the MS Access database to the new MS SQL database It can be any solution what I can run easily without too much manual work. You can also combine steps 1. and 2. by doing an import of MS Access database into MSSQL, but than I need a solution to hadle the autonumber fields.

Hi! Converting is an easy part, there are even tools for that, but I guess the major concern is to update ID's. Am I right? That can be done by several SQL commands or scripts in MSSQL. Can I see the actual database? Regards, Branislav Mihaljev (Serbia)

Did you try using the MSSQL export / import tool? You could also run a script that displays the data with an ADO connection directly from the base in Access. Best regards. -
