.net developer for school project

hi, for one school project I need 1 windows program in .net or any other windows language. this windows based program will show an impressive background to fill the screen with some constant running graphs, for example: Sinusoidal, Equations, and other graphics that looks scientific but serve no purpose but just creating an image of sophisticated analysis is running. there will be some buttons and windows based controllers to change these graphs speed, shape or any similar so the impression is that a user is actually activating something. You can add blinking lights, etc. to make the screen a science fiction movie style. All these graphs don't do really anything but performing as a scientific background to cause the illusion that something scientific is going on. Make the controllers (Buttons, sliders, etc) customizable so I can set their captions, for example: I should be able to set the text on a button to: "Neural Network Testing", etc. In .NET/Visual Studio environment it should be fairly straight forward to put few buttons on a window and customize some graphs.
