Hi! I would like to get some help from a skilled programmer to create an API for xmlsoccer.com. I would like that the API is made in R. I want the API to create a big file that contains data from all played games from all the leagues and all coming fixtures this season. Columns in the file will be hometeam, awayteam, league, game date, odds from all bookmakers (1X2) and the game result. I don’t know exactly what information xmlsoccer has so I might want to increase with more columns. I want the file to look something like what you can find on football-data ([login to view URL]). Though, I want all the info in one file and not split into several files. It is also important that upcoming games is included with odds when available. I want that the file that is produced to be in a format like .txt .csv or .xlsx.

Hello, As far as I know you need do scrap this web, download the zip files and merge all data togerher. I've done some similar tasks for at least two personal projecs, and one of them using R. As you could also check in my profile, I have experience in software engineering and R, so I am pretty sure I could do the task without any problems. Also, if you want, I could help you later with descriptive statistics or more advanced tasks. My (approximate) work plan would be scrap the web and download CSV files, parse them with R and later build the file with the coulmns you need in a common CSV file.
