Build Raspberry pi project detect which animal in the camera

Yeah this can be done. We can train our own classifier to do this task. I have been doing projects using OpenCV and Raspberry Pi for the last three years and i can do this as well.

I have built a very similar device in the past, i can make you what you need, i can program a custom python script using tensor flow's object detection algorithm to detect different animals and log them or display it real time, make you a custom image for the pi so that you can simply burn the image to the pi's sd card and it will boot automatically into my program and work. feel free to check my profile for past project and reviews, and since ive already programmed in recognition program it will only take a day or two to train it and finish it to work for your needs, text me back if you want me to build it.
