REVERSE Hello, I'm an experienced Linux user and Python developer. I have used nginx for many projects (most of them as a reverse proxy). For this project I would build an API in Tornado (Python web-framework) which controls the nginx configuration file(s) and reload the nginx server when needed. The API process would run under a limited-access user that can only control nginx; do you want to only have one API call (setconfig) that would feed all customers to the API or multiple calls (add, remove customers)? For the second case some data storage would be needed (file database). Best wishes, iticus

REVERSE Hey, Once we established how you would like your nginx configuration to look, I would create a small Laravel-based PHP API. You would POST your data to this API, it would generate configuration and store it somewhere temporary (/tmp) on the server. I would then have a crontab that runs every minute, and if a 'ready' flag was set (or /tmp/new-config/.ready existed), then it would erase the old nginx config files, write the new files and then restart/reload nginx. Before starting work we would need to clarify how your configuration looks, as we'd decide a config template and the API would simply use that as a template. Thanks, Dan

Setting up nginx reverse proxy for once a time is easy but you need an automized program to add new virtual hosts as you mention in project details. I can develop a command line application to be used something like "vhostconfig -add customer3" and reload nginx context in order to reflect server config changes.
