Normally, its create and synchronize attributes of LDAP user entries and Drupal users. In my previous work actually I did LDAP Single Sign on with Drupal. Actually, it is not specific to Drupal or the Drupal LDAP Modules, but it is specific to the operating system and webserver. The only authentication mechanism used in development was mod_auth_sspi for Apache/Windows, but so long as the web server's LDAP authentication mechanism is configured to provide the $_SERVER variable $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] or $_SERVER['REDIRECT_REMOTE_USER'] corresponding directly to a user's LDAP user name, this should work all the same. May you have the below requirements: - You want to LDAP user details in your Drupal Site. - May you want your user to authenticate to Drupal with their LDAP credentials. - May you want to create a checking because do not want to create accounts until users start using your Drupal site. Hi, Drupal with LDAP expert here. I already implemented LDAP functionality in multiple site. After implementing LDAP, user can login into site using his Active Directory account. Hello, I would like to work on this project, I have more than 11 years of experience in php and working in drupal for more than 8 years, I have used ldap number of times and other Single Sign on services too, like ADFS with SimpleSaml, CAS, Bakery Single Sign-On System etc. But I want to know why you are using LDAP 7.x-1.0 Beta 14 as the recommended version is : 7.x-2.0-beta11. Antes he configurado un directorio openLdap y un entorno wordpress multisitio para que los usuarios que están en el openLdap puedan loguearse, crearse e incluso registrarse en el sitio wordpress. Pero en sentido contrario no es fácil hacerlo, es decir, que los usuarios creados en wordpress sean actualizados automáticamente en el openldasp. No se si tu situación es similar. Por otro lado no soy un desarrollador. soy un sysadmin. Solo puedo instalar, configurar y enlazar servicios con aplicaciones, no creo software, desarrollo plugins o módulos. Hi, I see you selected "windows server" as a skill required to complete this project, so I can infer that you plan to connect your Drupal instance to an Active Directory server. Active Directory, while being a nice full featured LDAP server, does have its configuration particularities, starting with the fact that it doesn't accept anonymous connections, plus its objectclasses may look 'non-standard' if you come from the openldap world. However, none of these particularities is a blocker and Drupal can talk to Active Directory and you can authenticate your users against it. Having setup LDAP authentication of a lot of different apps against OpenLdap, Active Directory or 389 Directory Server I have quite a lot of experience in these matters and I can help you connect your Drupal instance to your LDAP Directory, plus I can check if it is possible to enable Single Sign On for your setup.
