There's a few steps to securing a VPS for hosting a website. 1) We'd harden SSH by moving it to a different port, disable root login, and enabling public/private key encryption (With a key provided to you to log in), and Fail2Ban to help fight against bruteforcing 2) We'd setup Nginx as the webserver with hardened settings 3) Unless you've got HTTPS already, we'd set up LetsEncrypt HTTPS for your website 4) We'd migrate your website from GoDaddy to your VPS. I estimate this would take about a day, but I'm bidding 2 days just in case. I think $150 USD is appropriate for this kind of task as it's fairly open-ended and may require more than I've listed above.
