Basically I need a way to enable "Under Attack" mode on Clodflare for a specific domain using API when the server is under ddos.
I'm using Apache on Centos.
Requirements:
A script that can check how many active requests are currently on Apache. If the number goes over 1000 for example or the server load is high it should trigger the API to activate Cloudflare "Under Attack" mode.
I also need the API to do that, I will put in the KEY and the domain.
I'm open to other ideas as long as it works.
I'm a professional Linux sysadmin and I deal with CloudFlare Enterprise solutions daily. I use similar algorithms for my own web servers too. I think we can edit the mod_evasive to do this. I'm the talent you are looking for.
Let's discuss the details! :)
I can create a script which will run every X minutes and check the number of connections on apache and accordingly turn on or off the Under attack mode using CloudFlare API.
Script will also have option to enter API details, set domain, max number of apache connections upon which ti enable the mode
