Greetings, The estimated time frame is from 6 to 9 months from contract confirmation (approximately until the end of the year). The version of Moodle that will be developed is 3.6.2+. Short project description: The aim of the developed modules is to capture students behavior in certent learning activities, for example book(the supported Moodle activites will be every activity where learning content can be placed - book, page etc. that excludes Links, Poll etc. ). When we say "capture students behavior" we means the following flow: - Student enter the page - Module will select the pre-calculated estimated time on task for that page(that value will be calculated based on programed ruels which will be programed by us, based on the formal rules stored in the database like number of words etc.) - Module will record the time when student enter the page - When student will be on the page longer that is pre-caluclated time on task module whill show graphical help(Paperclip in MS Word) with text selected from the database(each page should have it's own set of helps), for example:"Are you stuck, try to stretch your legs." Also teacher or the course tutor will have the ability to validate each supported activity in his course. So in the admin section of the course teacher will have the ability to select each supported activty which is in the course and select specific one. After selecting the specific activity he can press a button and the module will validate the activity based on the pre-defined criteria and set specific amount of points. The criteria will be also programed by us. The points will be devided into multiple levels like great, good, bad etc. To each rule there are certent amount of points related. So for example if there are more than 600 words on the page, it also have to contains an image, if not the points will be decresed, also the suggestion will be showed on the screen. These information and the results from the last validation must be stored in the database and should be displayed when the teacher will come back. Process logic of the project: - teacher will create the course with all the activities - in the edit course section he will be able to select each supported activity and activate "Formal check" - that will do the formal validation and calculated prefered time on task for each page and also activate the listener which will check how much time student spend on each page - system will make the formal validation and show the report for the teacher related to selected activity - teacher can based on the recomendation change the content of the activity - teacher can add multiple help phrases for each page which will show when stuent will exceed the calculated time on task - student enter the course - student enter specific activity which has been validated so the listener is active - system behaviour will be the same as it is described on section "capture students behavior" Our preliminary analysis suggests that this whole can only be done with the help of a number of modules like the Book tool, Machine learning backends, and so on. However, if you find another solution, we will just love it. What exactly do we expect from you is to create a complete program structure by telling us through the comments where you will be able to program the criteria to calculate the optimal time and formal criteria. Here we have to work with the overall content of the site (everything on the page, quiet and HTML form).
