Need python Script/Program to Parse XML file and create Excel Document or else text document with corresponding rows and Columns

Hello, I'm an experienced PHP developer that could write a script to carry out the needed XML parsing and data fetching. I've already done some similar work previously, but on JSON; which I could reapply to have it parse XML instead. Is it possible to share a small sample of the XML file you're looking to parse?
