Hi, We'll create an application for locating the different locations of the building. The application will allow to enter the portion number or location number and it will pin on the image after zoom and point to the location. (Resemblance to google maps) The admin from the back end can define the location and put the title and number that is associated with the specific location. this will be stored in the database. We may need more information from you about the scope and about the users for developing a quality application and user friendly. We'll deploy the application on your linux server. I saw your description carefully. -----Project Title------ Location based Website for a building -----Project description----- We have a large building that has several locations we want to be able to identify quickly by assigning them(the location) a number and making them searchable. For example: I go to the website and enter 303 in the location search and an arrow pops up on the map pointing to the specified the location. The building map would and image file. There will be two building maps (so two websites) The location needs to be able to be edited as needed. IE: if location 303 changes to another point on the map, this should be able to be modified from an admin portion of the page. The pointer can be a simple red error that shows the location one at a time. This will probably need a db or flat file to keep track of the locations (around 300) Needs to be as simple as possible. Enter a location, and arrow shows up for the location. Should be editable. Needs to be hosting internally. Linux platform preferred. Open source db and tools.
