Wordpress modification for membership site

Modify an existing WP site with Thesis theme to turn it into a membership site - WishList Membership plugin already installed.

## Deliverables

I have a Wordpress site, Thesis theme, ([url removed, login to view]). This was an offline world business, a wedding centre, (now closed) and the web site was a reflection of that. We now want to change the site to a membership based on line service. It will be a place where wedding suppliers can post their offers on the blog for free, or at a paid for level.

The key benefit for suppliers is that their posts will automatically be shared to our Facebook and Twitter accounts, their images to our Pinterest account and video links to our Youtube channel. The plug-ins for this have already been installed.

A membership plugin has also been installed - WishList membership.

There will be two types of site users

1. Wedding Suppliers

2. Brides

Registration: We need a nice call to action on the home page -" advertise your offers here for free - Register Now". This should lead to a landing page which outlines what the free subscription has and what the paid subscription has.

Once they have selected their option, they need to register their details. This registration will be the same for free and paid other than paid will have to set up their payment details. We will be using Paypal. Paid subscriptions will be offered a ?13.99 a month or ?149.00 a year option.

Registration will require; First Name, Last Name, Business Name, email (which will also be username), password, phone, address, category (eg. Photographer, dresses, etc. - drop down list of options - allow selection of 3)

Suppliers on the free level should have their basic details (business name, contact person, phone and email) added to a Supplier list. Suppliers on the paid level should have the same but in addition they should be able to create a full page for their business.

Suppliers on the free level of membership should get recurring reminders to make a voluntary donation or to upgrade to a paid for level of membership.

Setting up membership for different levels is not really about restricting access to content. It needs to be more about what a member can create at different levels.

What I need is for wedding suppliers, on free membership, to be able to create and publish a post. That's it. I have the blog syndicated to publish each post automatically to our Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts. After each post I would like them to be reminded about making a donation or upgrading. Ideally, I would like to be able to restrict them to one post per week.

In addition to unlimited posting, paid members should also be able to create a page, which automatically gets added to the supplier list in the appropriate category. Ideally, rather than being granted access to the full range of features available when creating a normal WP page, they should have a template to fill out. Paid members should have no restrictions on how many posts they make.

2. Brides

Bride membership is free. Even without registering, they can see all content. The benefit to registering is that they will be emailed all the latest offers (and sometimes these offers will be exclusive to members of the site) and if they are registered they will also be able to comment on posts and pages.

Bride registration should include, first name, last name, telephone, email, date of wedding and location of wedding.

I would like to include something that will keep brides using the site so I think we will include a forum or a Facebook type wall for brides on there. Suggestions welcome.

Site Design

We are using the Thesis theme.

We are currently using a two column layout but we will switch to three and include areas for banner ads. We will also use the multimedia and feature box for advertising purposes.

With all members allowed to post, there will be a lot of posting so we need to restrict the space used in each post to a headline, teaser and small image. Posts should probably sit side by side from the first post (like they do now from the third post - see current home page) and we need to allow 20 posts per page before going on to "older posts".
