PHP Web service

We have developed a tool in PHP to automate the creation of web sites. It is like a tiny Lotus Domino Designer. It allows to manage tables in a DB an automate its basic management via web (manage data in the tables, create queries and views, define new operations, etc.)

Using such a tool, we have developed our own helpdesk site, our own online shop, etc.

Our tool allows us to create custom web applications in a quite automated way (no need to code a line in PHP, for instance).

At this moment, we would like our tool to create also custom web services. If we are able to define a complete application using our tool, we want to define also a web service to access to our application(s).

So, we are looking for the following:

- Help to identify the tools we need to serve web services. We are using our tool in the following platforms: linux+apache+php+mysql, windows+apache+php+mysql and windows+iis+php+sqlserver.

We ask for a word document defining which technologies and product we should use (free or open source products are desirable), why we should use them and how to install and configure them. We don't want to spend time looking for the best products, we are asking for your advice.

- Help to understand how the web services work and which code we should add to our tool. Imagine for instance, that we want the data from our online shop and our online helpdesk to be available as web services. We want to define a general method to automate the creation of such web services.

- A tiny web services client to test our web service(s) and information on how to use the info provided by our web service(s) from other standard applications and portals (sharepoint, etc.)

Since our bid request is vague, we beg you to send bids with detailed information on what you would do for us in the project. That information is mandatory to agree on the project completion.

We are ready to send further information about our tool on request... but please, don't ask for info if you don't agree the "general terms" we include in the "deliverables" section.

Before bidding to this project, please take into account the following terms and conditions:

* Our company is looking for a pool of coders to work frecuently with. We appreciate response time and availability to carry out new bid requests. We would encourage you not to bid if you won’t be available in the future to work again for us in enhancing previous projects or new ones.

* We appreciate quick responses to our proposals (in this or future bid requests), as well as we are always ready to give quick and complete feedback to our coders (via email and/or MSN messenger, in English, Spanish or Portuguese). We take great care over quality and documentation. Please don’t bid if you don’t feel comfortable with such a way of working.

* We won’t even reply to bidders just saying: “I will do this work for you??. We are looking for bids including a complete and detailed project description. Our bid request just defines a draft of what we want to have coded. The coder should send the detailed project plan and the exhaustive list of features to be implemented. The bid acceptance will ensure the approval of the codder proposals.

* We are not reluctant to work with coders without previous ratings. In fact, many of our coders have done one of their first RAC projects for us. Such coders must “prove?? their aptitude sending prototypes, references, etc.

* We encourage bidders to suggest improvements and new features to our bid requests. We always try to explain our goals down to the last detail and suggestions and improvements are always welcome before, during and after the project. We will be pleased to pay extra bonuses or create new bid requests if needed.

* We realize that sometimes we ask for functionalities that are difficult or impossible to implement. Please feel free to suggest work-arounds.

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
