Store-Safe (Midlands) Ltd is a self-storage company based in Stoke on Trent, UK. It was one of the first storage companies to begin to use PPC advertising nationwide. The web site ([login to view URL]) was designed as a conduit through which to arrange UK wide furniture collections. The website has been very successful due to a propriotory php quote script that did not require any contact details and had only 5 fields to fill in.
The current Store-Safe Website ([login to view URL]) was designed by the company owner. Although innovative and market leading with the inclusion of a php postcode furniture collection script the website is no longer good looking enough to convert enough visitors to sales in the current highly competitive web environment.
Aims and Objectives
The aim is a design a market leading website to maximise the Click conversion rate such that we can profitably afford a 1-3 position in the PPC listings. As is the nature of the business the audience has to have faith in the trustworthiness, honesty and quality of the Furniture collection and storage service in order to convert a click into a sale.
The content should build trust and confer quality whilst driving the web user to obtaining a quote from the PHP quote script. The number of visitors obtaining a quote should be maximised as we are a cost leader and compete on price for business. Our very competitive quotes demonstrate this cost/price leadership to the potential client.
The current site has been running a testimonial message board that has had numerous entries over the last 2-3 years. This testimonial message board needs to be included in the new site. The clients' self-posted testimonials are a very powerful mechanism by which [login to view URL] develops trust with new potential clients.
The quote engine should deliver quotes that can be printed, emailed or sent to a form where the customer can book a collection online. (Please go to [login to view URL] - here is a project I was playing around with that demonstartes the quote engine in a linear, 5 page format)
The audience are primarily home movers aged 23-55 years old. Web users have proven to be more intelligent purchasers that telephone based customers and like as much information as possible before making an informed decision.
The sales cycle is 1-12 weeks from first contact. Again this is why quotations either printed or emailled should be encouraged as the customer then has a reference point for future contact with Store-Safe further along the sales cycle.
The typical web user will find [login to view URL] through PPC advertising (Google Adwords & Yahoo Search), [login to view URL], and printed Telephone directories (BT Phone Book, Yell, Thompson Local).

Although Store-Safe is not as big an operation as the above companies, I would like to appear at least as professional or if not more so. A website that is at least as attractive to the user as these sites, combined with our testimonial message board, quote engine and cost advantage, will be a goliath beating proposition.
We do not want to unduly influence your professional creative input by including too much into the design specification. We would like to allow you as much creative freedom as possible to fulfill the objective of producing a market leading Self-Storage and furniture collection web site.
The copy is already provided at www.store-safe.co.uk. The aim is simply to upgrade the design and functionality to a market leading level.
Main functions required:
The main priority of the functionality is that the site seamlessless leads the user to the quote engine and to receive a free collection quotation. The collection quotation should have the option of being emailed and printed for later reference. Also there should be the option of booking the collection online there and then, by telephone or by web form.
Storage calculator: A storage calculator based on the script at [login to view URL] needs to incorporated in to the new site. Re-designed in such a way that it is in keeping with the rest of the site.
Every page should have a telephone number to call and a 'book here' link. The booking form should link back to the quote engine and vise versa (the quote engine should link to the booking form). The booking form and quote engine should also have links to the storage calculator.
The testimonial message board needs tidying up such that the design is in keepng with the new website.
The site should be content rich. Include the content pages already at www.store-safe.co.uk.
The completed site is to be delivered ready for uploading to our corporate webspace. Including all HTML pages, PHP pages and image files
All rights to the code and any images created or used must remain with Store-Safe (Midlands) Ltd.
There are no budget limitations with this project. The important thing is that the finished project is market leading when compared to our competitor sites listed above. THE WEBSITE MUST BE WORLD CLASS IN ITS DESIGN.
Store-Safe (Midlands) Ltd has just completed the building of a new centre based in Stoke on Trent and therefore has new storage capacity to fill. Reaching profitablility with the new site as soon as possible is very important to us and we would like a timetable that reflects this.

I will not just go with the lowest price bid. Price is not the main consideration. The main factors considered will be speed of implementation and quality of the finished project. Please include details of quality and timescales in your bids.
