We would like to bulid a classified listing ad website similar to those real estate and car listing websites you see on the web but for a different industry. The site will be opened to public to post buy and sell listings for a local market. The requirements of the project are as follow:
1) We prefer a developer with strong SEO/SEM skills. The #1 priority of this site is to be able to rank it in the top or near top spot of search engines within a 80 miles radius local area. We would like the site be built in a way that it is optimal for SEO. As a free of charge classified listings ad website it should be a very good candidate for ranking high on search engines. The site will be opened to public free of charge to drive traffic and contents will be actively updated by the users making it a good candidate for ranking high.
2) A bonus of 10% will be awarded for achieving a SEO ranking of top 3 spots in two specific search engines for 5 keywords. White hat methods only. Absoltely no grey/black hat methods.
3) We need professional look-and-feel so strong design and graphics skills are essential
4) Implementation and maintenance should be kept as simple as possible
5) We strongly embrace prebuilt platforms and templates and would prefer a Joomla developer but we're not expert in technology and are open for suggestions from developers that uses other technology/platform
6) We are willing to pay for commercial extensions and templates should it be benefitial to make development easier/faster and maintenance simpler. For example we think this is a great template [login to view URL] and your role can be as simple as customizing a template to fit our needs and integrate the technologies to create a solution. Remember what we want is a solution and a simple one. What we don't want is to make your life and thus our life harder by using overkilled complex technology/platform
7) Haven't said that we want simplicity, there are specialized/customized features that we do want to have and thus when choosing a platform/template the developer has to consider the flexibility/customizability. For example we would like to be able to sort the listings base on the number of facebook "likes". We would also like to have a seperate page for posting ads based on some predetermined business logics. Also we would like to run adversitement on the site and make it catchy by making it expands to large size when user visit the site. I'm sure there are other customization that we haven't thought of yet so flexibility and customizability is very important.
8) It is important that the website has a seperate account management/maintenance page/mode where our staffs with no technology background can maintain the website and the listings with ease. Our staffs should be able to manipulate all the users,listings,profile,information, and also able to do simple routine management of the database ...etc.
9) The site should run on popular mobile devices without problem. IOS, Andriod, Blackerry ...etc are must.
10) VERY IMPORTANT. The website will be in traditional CHINESE lanaguage. However we do understand that some of the best developers here do not know the language and we will accept good developers who doesn't know the language. He/she will then develop an English mod-up version of the site and we later have it translated it into chinese as a seperate project with someone else. However it is a must that the site supports the traidtional chinese language so that we can make the translate without problem and that the developer should expect to asisit as for language translation project later. Basically the words would be translated but the develop would help us put it in the site. Also it certaintly will be a plus if you are proficient with the chinese language.
