Front-end rewrite of [url removed, login to view]: Adding some features and increasing browser compatibility. Required skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Google Maps and jQuery
## Deliverables
UPDATE: Based on a few questions, I've changed the screenshot from the current version to an approximate comp of the UI layout that would be required (multi-entry textarea), controls for changing input source type (gps, latlng, LSD, UTM), as well as the driving directions button and resulting JqueryUI dialog. REQUIREMENTS, TO DOs: Semantic, standards-compliant HTML5 markup (based on HTML5 boilerplate by Paul Irish), Google Maps v3, jQuery 1.5+, jQuery UI 1.8+ Compatibility: Works in all recent standards-compliant browsers, including Mobile Safari on iPad, as well as IE7+. Better form controls, with masking and parsing (helpful, more forgiving), for example: LSDs can be entered as 12-19-029-12 W4 or 12-19-029-12W4 or 12-19-29-12 W4 or 12-19-029-12 4 or 12-19-029-12-W4 or 12-19-029-12 w4. Also, on keyup, validate, show checkmark if data is good Allow entry in following formats: LSD, lat/lng in decimal degrees, lat/lng in h:m:s (converted to decimal prior to query), UTM, and street address. (Note: Entries made in UTM and street addresses are converted to lat/lng prior to submitting query. Street addresses can be geocoded using Google Maps API geocoder object, using viewport biasing to AB and SK) Allow multi-entry (using a textarea), preparse/validate in Javascript before submitting query Add driving directions feature (click a marker, opens infowindow, then click "Get driving directions", then click "From here, to" or "To here, from", then click one of the precaculated/displayed LSDs from the list.... displays route and turn-by-turn directions in a jQueryUI dialog. Additionally, if browser supports geolocation, allow that as an optional destination or starting point after clicking "Get driving directions to/from... me". Finally, allow user to send driving directions to an email. (with url: [url removed, login to view],+-114+to+53,+-113 ) Inlcude Open Street Maps. Fairly simple to do: [url removed, login to view] A toggle for Street view, which splits the map in half. The Google Maps API makes it fairly simple. [url removed, login to view]
