Frontend/Backend Developer - Maintain existing small e-commerce app

Our custom e-commerce application was recently built by a web agency, and now we need someone to maintain our website into the future. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - making various front-end changes - updating existing pages / adding new pages - fixing bugs - building additional capabilities Necessary skills required are: - PHP - jQuery - HTML, CSS - MySQL - GIT - English-speaking - Communicative There are two portals: user and admin. Additionally, the website itself is very image intensive. It is important to try and provide as much functionality to the admin portal as possible in order to upload and maintain these images. The application is built using PHP, jQuery, and MySQL. Javascript/jQuery knowledge is especially important, as there is a lot of dynamic front-end functionality. Finally, knowledge of Git is required as well. This will be an on-going job, and we anticipate that work will be completed on an as-needed basis. For sure, a lot of work will need to be done in the beginning. And, as the company grows, there will definitely be opportunities for consistent work. A ticket system will be used in order to organize the necessary tasks. Lastly, code samples will be required from potential candidates in order to verify skillset. I am not interested in working with an agency or a project manager. Instead, the candidate will work directly with me. It's important that we build an understanding and a relationship together, so we will use video conferencing regularly (mostly like Skype or something similar). I have a technical background, so I can explain tasks in detail and can work with any concerns/problems that you might have. Communication is the most important factor. It is preferable that our timezones share some working hours, however this is not necessary for the right candidate.
