I'd like a lottery website designed with graphical elements, coded, and hosted on a low-cost hosting solution. It would be similar in look and feel to [[login to view URL]][1] or <[login to view URL]> . Instead of a free lottery site, this site would involve a pay-for lottery. As such, some elements would be the same, and a few elements would be different.
The elements that would be the same are...
- Would need a clickable interface to pick numbers (something fun)
- Would need a registration page for a user to type in their details
- Needs a mechanism for a random drawing against entrants
- Needs an email mechanism for contacting winners after the draw
Additional elements required are...
- Ability to accept credit cards and paypal for payments
- Interface that allows end-user to select and pay for up to 10 lottery draws at a time (similar to <[login to view URL]> without the subscription)
- This lottery will be a rolling lottery not a time-based lottery. Instead of a drawing every day or week, the draw will happen when a certain number of entrants have entered the lottery. The lottery system needs to be flexible to allow the number of entrants to change.
When the website is launched, there will be a $100 drawing after the first 110 entrants. As website traffic grows, this will have to change to a $1000 drawing after the first 1100 entrants, and so on...
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working website, with good usability and design
2) Well structured code that can be taken over by another programmer if necessary
3) Website up-and-running on a low-cost hosing solution (<$50 month)
## Platform
Should be built with standard languages that will be easy to hand off to another programmer. Has to support IE obviously, but doesn't have to support Netscape.
