You are asked to develop a mobile learning guide such that a beginner can use to learn about the Android Development Framework. Your app needs to look great on ALL devices. One of the great things about Android development is that you can put the exact same app on devices with completely different screen sizes and processors, and have them run in exactly the same way. But that doesn’t mean that they always have to look exactly the same. Fragments allow you to reuse code. Fragments are like reusable components or subactivities. A fragment is used to control part of a screen, and can be reused between screens. This means we can create a fragment for the list of workouts, and a fragment to display the details of a single workout. These fragments can then be shared between layouts. You need to create a mobile learning guide that able to run on a phone and on a table: • On a phone: It displays a list of workouts, and when you click on one, you are shown the details of that workout • On a tablet: On a larger device, like a tablet, you have a lot more screen space available, so it would be good if all the information appeared on the same screen. On the tablet, the list of workouts only goes partway across the screen, and when you click on an item, the details appear on the right. The learning guide has three screens. The first screen has a simple instruction, followed by three buttons. The buttons are labeled as "terminology", "websites", and "video tutorial" respectively. On the Action Bar, the title of the app is "Pocket Guide". A click on the overflow menu button (or the device Menu button) will display two menu options, namely "Help" and "About". When the "Help" menu item is selected, a toast will display brief descriptions about the functionality of those three buttons. When the "About" menu item is selected, a toast will display your full name and your program of study at IUKL. When the "terminology" button is clicked, a second screen will come to the foreground. It has a simple instruction, followed by an AutoCompleteText View. A list of suggestions will pop up after the user has entered three characters. Your list of suggestions should contain at least 12 words or phrases related to Android (e.g. adb, emulator, Android manifest file, layout XML file, and toast). These words must be stored in strings.xml. When a particular word or phrase is selected, a toast will display a brief description of the word/phrase. 1 When the "websites" button is clicked, a second screen will come to the foreground. It has a simple instruction, followed by a ListView of URL links. Your list should contain at least 12 websites about learning Android. These URL links must be stored in strings.xml. When a particular link is selected, a toast will display a brief description of the website or use the web viewer to display the content of the websites. When the "video tutorial" button is clicked, a second screen will come to the foreground. It has a simple instruction, followed by a ListView of URL links. Your list should contain at least 12 video tutorial about learning Android. These URL links must be stored in strings.xml. When a particular link is selected, a video player will display the video tutorial.
