We have been asked to redesign the logo of a very conservative farmers union. We would like to present them some ideas of small steps / partial evolution of their current logo as well as some larger leaps towards a more progressive design. The on prerequisite they have is that the logo speaks to both grain farmers and vineyard owners, i.e. have some element of a grain or ear of grain as well as grapes.

We need to you present to us the whole process of working your way from the current logo to the new suggestions, both the "small step" and the "huge leap" ones, i.e. on a number of slides.

Some things we could imagine (but really, we need YOUR creative input here):
Work with only one or two colours; place it in a circle; stylise grain to very simple elements; stylise grapes to shadows/half moons/diamons; obviously rearrange the elements.
Maybe also make 2-3 suggestions entirerly free from the current design, depicting farming and vineyarding in an entirely new way.
Let me stress again that we would like you not just to design new logo ideas, but also show the single steps from the current version to the next on some slides - maybe separately for development of the grain part and the grape part and then merge them.
