Hello Freelancers,
I'm not sure if this can be done or not. I am looking for a Linux/OpenVPN expert to help me out with something. I run an Open VPN business whereby clients login - is there a way that Open VPN can be configured to be non case sensitive in terms of login. Clients login with their email address but as you know it is case sensitive... Is it possible to disable this? I would like client to be able to sign up with and
Can you help? I would like the changes to be made via teamviewer please.
Regards
Michael
If you use scirpt for auth by login and pass - I can modify it for lowercase.
Teamviewer is ok.

Hello
I can setup a solution where your users dont have to login, they will use certificates, in other words there will be no need for them to use email and so.
If interested let em know so that we can implement this solution.
Note: I already have Scripts made to Install and configure OpenVPN and also to manage users.

Hello ,
Since when mail address are case sensitive ..... make all users with lower case in password file or DB if use a database for this , and ask user to use lowercase (john@mmm instead John@mmm )
Best regards ...

Hello yes this is possible and starting from OpenVPN 1.8.3.209 version. It's just one command line in terminal, I am ready to start right now and work through teamviewer
Starting from Open VPN ver Access Server 1.8.3 there is standard configuration to relax comparisons between client username and DB/cert username so that a case-insensitive match is permitted.
