Ideally script should completely automate getting the respective kernel sources and building and installing the mwifiex modules required (along with installing the firmware)
The build steps need to be easily repeatable for any RPi OS variant.
Suggest using rpi-source to get kernel sources :

Resultant .ko kernel module(s) and firmware files need to be installed into correct locations,
Script should configure system for automatic module loading or at least these should be noted on what to do (e.g. depmod modprobe /etc/modules )
Hi;
Read the brief craefully.
Compiling a kernel on a Raspberry Pi is a pain, so I can cross-compile it on x64 for ARM, if thats ok.
I also realised you know your stuff well.
I dealt with ko's quite a lot, as I was a former embedded systems developer.
