need a lawyer

hi I' from hyderabad and my name is ravi. i rented out an apartment once and the owner asked me to apply for a car loan for him. he said since i am staying in the same house, there will not be a problem. i applied and the emis used to get deducted from my bank account. he used to send the money to my bank account. then he said i have to vacate the house because they were increasing rent. this happen 6 months ago. i vacated the house and he has not been paying emi ever since. he is not picking up my call also. i went to the house and then realised that hhe is NOT the owner, but merely incharge of that apartment. please tellme what i can do
