Initiate Twain scanner from web page

The application should be able to handle Twain scanner (connected on USB or wifi) to scan and preview documents from platern or sheet feeder into pdf (multi and single page) format and send it via ajax as file to a php end point. Pure javascript should be used no applets or browser add ons, and should work in chrome browser. I need a scanner select select, a scan button and a preview with send (to server) button. No commercial 3rd party solutions like scannerjs or dynamic web twain are to be used. All code is to be clear and commented. Options to set presets for scanner should be clear in the code Overview: It will contain minimum 4 components 1) Local server (javascript with nodejs is ok running on windows 10 as service) to interface the javascript to the scanner(s) 2) Javascript to include in html or php code to trigger the scan, preview and upload 3) php file to receive the pdf file on the remote server and save. 4) Sample [login to view URL] including javascript to prove use.
