Read the case study for the Performing Arts case study below. As with any real world problem
statement, you will find that the information is not always presented in the most logical manner. Information
on any given topic may be scattered across discussions of related topics.
Generate:
1) A Use Case Model:
i. A Use Case Model/Diagram from the users of the system perspectives. Models must be produced
using a CASE Tool.
ii. Produced full Use Case descriptions for each Use Case produced
2) Identifying Classes:
i. Create a Class Model/Diagram of the system – this should contain enough detail to give a good
understanding of the system design and cover the major elements of the system. (12-15 Classes). Models must be produced using a CASE Tool.
3) Report:
i. Submit a report (approx 1500 words) to accompany the above, including an explanation of the process
used to produce the above models/diagrams stating any constraints and assumptions used along with
any difficulties encountered and the course of action taken to overcome them.

Section B - Implementation:
This section of the assignment follows on from your initial investigation into the Bucks Centre for the
Performing Arts case study.
4) You are required to use any ‘sub-section’ of the design section above to be implement in an Objected
Orientated (OO) system using the ‘BlueJ’(Java) IDE introduced in the module, comprising of at least two
Classes. There should be a clear indication of how you have exploited any major aspect of the OO
paradigm in some way, with respect to concepts such as Inheritance, Encapsulation and Polymorphism.
5) Submit a Report (approx 1500 words) of the process used to produce the above, covering any difficulties
encountered alongside the course of action taken to overcome them. This would likely include: A Set of
Requirements, Pseudo-code, Test Strategy, Screen Shoots etc.
