Hello, I think I can easly help you, I already know how to use the google maps api or places api, I also know how to use leaflet with openstreetmap wich is an open source so you don't need to pay for using it. I usualy recommend this leaflet and opM instead of maps because it's can be realy expensive to use google api. I have 10 years experiences in programing.
