Design a Commuter Style Electric Bicycle

We are a small start up that is working on bringing a commuter style electric bike to the marketplace. Our company has experience in mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering however we need a product designer / concept artist to help create the visual appearance of the bicycle. We would like to work alongside a concept artist / product designer to help bring our product to life. We have a good idea of what we would like the bicycle to look like, and a list of basic constraints (+ dimensions) we need to meet, we simply need a concept artist to bring it all together and create the perfect commercial product. We ask that the designer work with us as we build a 3D model, the first prototype, and complete any tweaks prior to the release the final commercial model. This will be an iterative design process in which we begin with a large pool of rough designs, and systematically tweak designs until we have narrowed it down the final design. In addition to the bicycle frame design, this job will include ideation of accessories for the bike (fenders, racks, lights) as well as color schemes and visual appearance. Deliverables: (Provided in 2D / 3D / isometric views) - Rough sketches of bicycle frame concepts to show frame geometry, which will then be narrowed down until final frame design is selected - Color sketches of the frame to show color themes & overall visual appearance of bike - Concept sketches of all bicycle accessories until final design is selected - Any design changes / tweaks that we discover after prototyping the first units We are looking for a candidate that exhibits a mixture of artistic creativity, a light understanding understanding of mechanical design, and proficiency in communicating design concepts on paper.
