I need an original character, something unseen before. Something lasting, unforgettable. The character is a child height doll with a charming, deceptive face and sinister eyes hidden behind what first appears to be big, doe globes. More boy than doll, or that is, devil reincarnated into a doll via a boy's spirit without any actual hard lines (no broke abdomen for bending, instead, skin closer to ours, teeth like ours. Everything looking natural, except not quite human.)
This character will be made into an actual doll by a sculptor and the face of a short film...so this is a big deal!
I dont want Child's Play (Chucky), Annabel, Doll Master, etc. I need something fresh. The story behind the doll ends up being absurdly hilarious, and not scary.
I need something you couldnt resist taking home, and simultaniously something you wouldn't mind burying in a lead box at the bottom of the ocean the first time you realized it was alive. Clothing is important too...the doll goes from rags to riches...and needs a little sparkle.

Do you want the boy posed in any particular way or dressed in any particular way? And could you provide some references for what you'd like in terms of style and level of detail? My process would be to do this by hand then digitize it, I would first provide you with some rough sketches for you to approve of then commence in on the detailing and coloring - If you initiate the chat I can send you some *watermarked* samples not available in my profile

Hey there, I do lots of original character creations mixing 3D and 2D Skills, if you check my portfolio you can see some of my work.
I can try creating the boy-doll you need by creating a completely 3D Version of him and doing paintovers in photoshop, the process is pretty quick and I can create an iteration everyday.
I estimate that we can have a good iteration of the concept by the 6th day, but I gave a 10 day proposal on my bid on the case we need to run through smaller details.
