Our project is an online portal for the Indian Railway system. The website consists of the following pages [login to view URL]: The user must get access to create their own login id details if they are new users and also if they are already registered, they should be able to login in using their original username and password. [login to view URL] Booking: This page would consist of two options. 1. The user has a unique train number and his preferred date. If he chooses this option, then the person could enter the details of the departure and arrival station. 2. The user enters the arrival and departure station along with the date of departure. The user will get a list of trains which matches with the user’s requirements. According to the train and date selected, the user can choose the preferred seats and enter the passenger details. The ticket is confirmed and a unique PNR number is generated per ticket. Ticket cancellation: The user has to enter the PNR number of the ticket that has to be cancelled. Once the cancellation is done, the message regarding the refund will be sent to the user. View train timings: This page would consist of two options. 1. The user has a unique train number. The train number will show the user the schedule. 2. The user enters the arrival and departure station. The user will get a list of trains which matches with the user’s requirements. User selects the preferred train and the schedule is shown. View station status: The user can view the current status of a train and also view what all trains are there in a particular station.
