Graphic Designer

We are currently looking for a gifted Graphic Designer with a can-do attitude to join an outstanding design team based in Brisbane. If you have a solid foundation in design, you could be a perfect fit for this organisation. You must have a proven track record in delivering results on a consistent basis, someone who has great enthusiasm and is willing to take complete responsibility for a design project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Designing and typesetting documents for print.

- Making text and image edits to existing files.

- Vector Infographic Design

- Logo design / identity development. (Must be able to rationalise creative design work)

- Preparing files for print. Includes converting images to CMYK and adjusting curves,

brightness and contrast and shadows and highlights.

- Adding content to Wordpress websites.

- Mailchimp email campaign setups.

- Be completely responsible for the development of design themes and concepts, ensuring

all assets are designed to the very highest company standard and within allocated

budgets and timeframes.

- Be able to follow existing design styles and maintain brand consistency.

- Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure the work is being carried out to the

highest standards, giving appropriate design advice and highlighting areas of success

and improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

As well as being extremely driven and having a desire to develop your skill set and grow with this successful company, the ideal Graphic Designer will:

• Be educated - preferably to degree level or an equivalent qualification in Design.

• Have 5 or more years experience in an advertising or design role.

• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

• Work effectively in all situations - completely unaided both within the design team and

in collaboration with other departments.

• Able to problem solve and draw attention to possible issues (small file sizes,

inappropriate images, file issues etc.).

• Have the ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload with confidence and

efficiency.

•Demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills.

• Be a natural leader.

*Essential Skills

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Indesign

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

- Working knowledge on web design and ability to use Wordpress to edit content.

*Highly Desirable Skills

- Adobe Creative Cloud

- Wordpress

- Mailchimp or similar

- Basic HTML knowledge

- Experience with Microsoft Office – Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
