Guide to this RFP Our expectation is that this document will convey our vision for the new site and specific challenges with the existing one. It includes a background section about our organization, suggests an outline for organizing the content of the new site, and desired technologies. In providing these details, our intent is not to convey that we have all of the answers in creating the best possible site. The ideal and preferred vendor will bring its own ideas and vision based on industry expertise, technical capability, and client relations, guiding us to incorporate our goals into that vision. Please feel free to email [email address] with questions or comments.” Project Overview Exceed Network is a non­profit business advisory firm which offers advice and resources to small business owners. We deliver innovative and strategic guidance to companies at all levels: start­ups, growth, and turnaround. Exceed Network utilizes a deep pool of volunteer industry experts to offer our members educational seminars, advisory meetings, networking opportunities, access to small business capital. We recently relocated to WeWork’s chic and trendy Dumbo Heights location, where we run ​Exceed​@Work­ a business incubator program that allows entrepreneurs the opportunity to get a desk, phone, and full access to WeWork’s co­working amenities and benefits, while simultaneously having onsite mentor­ship provided by Exceed​. We are looking to redesign our site to have it be in line with our new “millennial” mentality, where users can seamlessly email us with questions and comments, as well as be informed quickly and visually of exactly what we do, and the services that we provide. We host a lot of events, so an events page would be vital as well. Our blog is very important as well, as we routinely commission writers to write about our events and updates within the industry and community. Project Goals We want this site to be extremely informative and inviting to the user. While we don’t sell products, our main goals are to sell our incubator program, and convince people to RSVP to our events, and sign up for our email list/newsletter. It is imperative that we are able to migrate our existing content from our current wordpress site as well, as we have a significant amount of money invested in our blog posts and historical content that needs to be moved over. Currently, I feel that our site has a lot going on, with excess verbiage and I would like to simplify it, make it more visual, and have it so the user can feel no static in finding out what we do, and how we can help them, instead of them having to click through an “about” page. Our target demographic is entrepreneurs, ages 22­-40, looking for business advice or starting a startup and looking for a place to work.
