I have worked on iBeacon and Eddystone with Android. It was developed for Navigation on university. Used for indoor navigation. The idea was that on the Open House, guests will be navigated/guided to the Hall using Beacons, then using for specific project guest will be navigated to that project using indoor navigation - Beacons, then industrial people take interviews of related project's students.
