Help with arduino sketch (bluetooth-motor shield-4 dc motors)

Hi! Im really new to this so bear with me. im doing a project with a arduino uno with -L293D [login to view URL] -nRF 8001 Bluefruit BLE Breakout [login to view URL] What i am looking to achieve is to control motors (1,2) and (3,4) by rotating clockwise, anti-clockwise and stop. Currently, i can only use the motor shield alone to control the motors. Using this include<AFMotor.h> Is there any way i can use for e.g echoDemo from the nRF8001 example and tell the motors to do what i want it to. For e.g. when i type in 1 on my phone, motors 1 and 2 move forward. when i type in 2 on my phone, motors 1 and 2 move backwards. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
