I would like to develop a fast 2D barcode scanner. One idea is to use a light carier of 38kHz , and filter the received light. So when a barcode pass under the transmitter/receiver (at constant speed), the output will show a series of pulses with different width. The output signal is a digital signal, i do the decoding myself. The barcode is black and white., the material is paper , the focus distance between 3 and 10 mm. I need a schematic and pcb design for this purpose. Will prefer someone with experience in this field
