Hi I'm a database developer with more than 35 years of experience, at least 20 working with SQL server. You really don't need the LDF file to restore a backup. The cause for your problema is likely something else. If your LDF is corrupted, you can safely eliminate it and restore only from the MDF (unless the MDF is also corrupted, in which case,, some forensic work would have to be done to recover the data) My suggestion is that you provide access through TeamViewer (or Remote Desktop) to your computer, so I can take care of restoring your database in place.
